Ukraine's General Staff confirms destruction of Russian arsenal with Iranian missiles in Volgograd Oblast

Ukraine’s defence forces targeted the Russian depot for storing and modernising missile and artillery weaponry near the village of Kotluban, Volgograd Oblast, Russian Federation, on the night of 28-29 September.

Quote: "According to available information, on the eve of the strike, a train carrying Iranian missiles arrived at the arsenal. The military facility was densely protected by electronic warfare and air defence systems, but our units successfully accomplished the combat objective. A fire and detonation of ammunition are taking place on the arsenal's premises."

Details: The reports state that the operation was carried out by the Unmanned Systems Forces in cooperation with units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Special Operations Forces, Defence Intelligence and the Security Service of Ukraine.

The General Staff stated that the defence forces continue to weaken the Russian military capabilities.

Background: Previously, Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed that 125 Ukrainian UAVs targeted Russian regions on the night of 28-29 September. Russian Telegram channels reported explosions near a military camp in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. In addition to Krasnodar Krai, explosions have rung out in Rostov, Voronezh and Volgograd oblasts.
