Zelenskyy on preparation for Ramstein: We must decide how to increase pressure on Russia

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said in his evening address that in October, at a meeting in the Ramstein format, Ukraine, jointly with its partners, will need to determine how to put pressure on Russia for the sake of a just peace.

Quote: "And the teams – ours and those of our partners – have already started preparing for Ramstein. In a week and a half, in October, at the Ramstein meeting, we must decide together with other leaders on joint steps and a common vision of how to increase the pressure on Russia for this war and for the sake of peace. A just peace."

Details: Zelenskyy recalled that Russia used about a hundred guided aerial bombs to strike Ukraine every day. "And it’s a constant reminder to all our partners who can help that Ukraine needs more long-range weapons, more air defence systems and more sanctions against Russia," Zelenskyy said.

It was reported on 5 September that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy intended to personally request further arms supplies from Western partners during a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein format, to keep fighting against Russia.
The Ramstein format meeting will be held on 12 October.
