Donetsk Oblast: Five die in an airstrike on Bakhmut, including a two-year-old

Five civilians were killed, including a two-year-old child, and four residents were injured following a Russian airstrike on the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast, on 17 May.

Quote: "The number of victims of the shelling of an apartment building in the city of Bakhmut has risen. Rescuers have found the bodies of a 35-year-old woman and a two-year-old child.

"The total number of casualties currently stands at five dead, four wounded."

Details: In an airstrike by the Russian armed forces on Bakhmut on 17 May, a shell destroyed a five-storey residential building. In addition to the above-mentioned woman and child, whose bodies were removed from the rubble, two men, aged 43 and 44, and a 75-year-old woman died. Four more people, including three children aged 9, 12 and 17, suffered injuries of varying severity.
