Ukrainian air defences destroy 47 Russian-launched drones, 25 disappear from radar

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 72 Shahed loitering munitions and other types of drones. Ukrainian air defence units have destroyed 47 Russian drones, while others have disappeared from radar.

Quote: "As of 09:00, 47 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones are confirmed to have been shot down in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Odesa oblasts. A further 25 enemy decoy drones disappeared from radar (without any adverse effects) due to active countermeasures by the defence forces."

Details: The Russian attack reportedly damaged the premises of businesses and residential buildings in Khmelnytskyi and Kyiv oblasts. Early reports indicate no casualties.

The Russians launched drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Bryansk and Oryol.

The aerial attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's Air Force and defence forces.
