The number of casualties in the Russian attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia on 22 September has increased to 22.

Quote: "Zaporizhzhia: the number of people injured as a result of the attack has risen to 22.

Specifically, among casualties  there are 13 women, 7 men and 2 children. 27 residents of the city were saved. Two women remain in hospital, and medics assess their condition as moderate."

Details: During the day, rescue workers jointly with the utility emergency service workers were removing non-stable constructions from top floors of residential buildings.

Background:

  • Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with six aerial bombs late on the evening of 22 September. This attack has left nine people injured, including a child.
  • The police added that within the period from 22:19 to 23:04 on 22 September the Russians had launched seven strikes (presumably, with guided aerial bombs) on the city of Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district. Russian projectiles struck civilian infrastructure.
