Ukraine's PM earns nearly US$25,000 over past year, his wife almost US$200,000

Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has declared an income of almost UAH 1 million [roughly US$25,400] in 2023, while his wife's total was UAH 7.8 million [roughly US$198,200].

Details: Shmyhal declared UAH 974,845 of income in 2023, which consisted entirely of his salary.

Meanwhile, the prime minister's wife, Kateryna Shmyhal, received income from entrepreneurial activity in the amount of UAH 7,809,394. In addition, she received a disability pension totalling UAH 32,600 [roughly US$820]. Denys Shmyhal's daughter Anna received a salary of UAH 25,000 [roughly US$630] over the year.

The prime minister declared cash of US$140,000 and funds on accounts amounting to UAH 74,756 [roughly US$1,880]. His wife has declared US$212,000 and UAH 42,000 [roughly US$1,060] in cash, as well as UAH 137,013 [roughly US$3,480] and UAH 17,733 [roughly US$450] in bank accounts.

Shmyhal owns a 2,200 square metre plot of land in the village of Khorosnytsia, Lviv Oblast.

The prime minister's wife owns a 215.9 square metre house in Lviv, a 151 square metre plot of land in Lviv, a 17.7 square metre garage in Lviv and a 323.2 square metre non-residential building in Lviv. In addition, she owns 25% of a 458 square metre land plot in Lviv and, together with her husband, a 2,200 square metre land plot in the village of Khorosnytsia in Lviv Oblast.

Additionally, Shmyhal's wife owns a 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport. The prime minister himself does not own a car.
