After the Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about the steps that need to be taken together with partners so that Russia can no longer physically terrorise Ukraine.

Quote: "This deliberate Russian strike on an ordinary city [Kryvyi Rih - ed.] only once again proves the simple truth: we must, together with our partners, ensure physically such conditions so that Russian terror becomes impossible."

Details: According to him, first of all, it is the air defence of Ukraine. The country needs a sufficient number of air defence systems of sufficient power, as well as modern fighters.

"When the Russian ability to hit our cities and villages is physically limited by our air defence, only then will the terrorist state understand that the peace in Ukraine and Russia’s defeat are inevitable," Zelenskyy emphasised.

Secondly, what is required is the destruction of the means for terror, in particular, the production of new missiles by the terrorist state. Zelenskyy recalled that, unfortunately, Russia still has the opportunity to obtain critical components for the production of missiles, created by companies from around the world, in particular companies from several partner countries. In various ways, these components are then supplied to Russia.

"If we take, for example, one of the missiles that hit Kryvyi Rih today, then about 50 components in it – mainly microelectronics – are produced in other countries," the president said.

Zelenskyy added that today there was a meeting of representatives of Ukraine with diplomats of the respective countries. "The list of companies that supply Russia with components for killing, all partners have this list. How Russian terrorists are trying to deceive the world is also understood by everybody. And we are waiting for conclusions and quick actions that will stop Russian missile terror, " the president emphasised.

In addition, the president said, Ukraine has applied sanctions against all companies in Russia that produce missiles.

"Such complete sanctions should be at the global level against all of them. Each way to circumvent sanctions should naturally be punished also at the global level. Export control over critical components should be strengthened as much as possible," Zelenskyy said.

"If someone acts as an intermediary or works together with Russia so that terrorists can continue to blow up apartment buildings and kill people, then such entities – a business or a state – deserve a response from the world. A tough reaction. Partners have all the information on this," Zelenskyy said.

"It is definitely cheaper – to block the way for terrorists to supply components for terror once and for all than to constantly utilise new anti-missiles for air defence," he added.
