Quote from Zelenskyy: "I think it is right that the decision to expand our sanctions against Russian citizens and other persons who help terror was approved today.
This list of almost 200 people has been carefully prepared, and each name is there for a reason. There are those who condone terror. Those who grease the wheels of the Russian propaganda machine. Those who tried to sell Ukraine out in Moscow. These people will face a full spectrum of personal restrictions. We will do everything to make the sanctions work on the largest scale possible – in Europe, in the world.
Everyone will be held to account for terror: both those who kill and those who help to kill.
The RNBO continues to add to the list of people who will face sanctions, and further decisions will be made soon."
Previously: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the National Security and Defence Council’s decision to introduce sanctions against 198 people. The list includes Russian cultural figures and propagandists, as well as some Ukrainian citizens.
