Ukrainian resistance reports two destroyed Russian air defence systems in Mariupol

Petro Andriushchenko, the adviser to the Mayor of Mariupol, has said that the Ukrainian resistance has destroyed two Russian S-300 air defence systems in the occupied city.

Quote from Andriushchenko: "On the night of Friday to Saturday [2-3 December], between 2 and 3 o'clock, ‘cotton’ (an explosion) resulted from a strike on one of the occupiers’ air defence and military equipment locations. [Russian propaganda, initially refusing to use the word ‘vzryv’ (explosion), used ‘khlopok’ (a bang) instead. However, ‘khlopok’ also means ‘cotton’, and this has since become a meme – ed.]

We have confirmation from the Mariupol resistance of the destruction of at least two S-300 air defence systems, i.e. two military vehicles."
