Border guards of Ukraine shoot down spy drone over Sumy Oblast

On 20 December, Ukraine’s border guards downed a Russian reconnaissance drone in Sumy Oblast.

Details: Border guards used an anti-drone gun and opened targeted fire from small arms. The remains of the drone fell several hundred metres from the positions of border guards.

It was a reconnaissance drone that collected intelligence data in border areas of the Ukrainian territory.

The fighters said that on 19 December, drones that flew in from the territory of Russia twice dropped explosive devices on the border of Sumy Oblast.
