Russia loses 96,000 soldiers in war against Ukraine

Ukrainian defenders have killed about 740 Russian occupiers over the past day. The Russian Federation has lost about 96,000 military personnel in total since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February and 14 December 2022 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

  • approximately 96,000 (+740) military personnel;
  • 2,970 (+4) tanks;
  • 5,937 (+7) armoured combat vehicles;
  • 1,931 (+0) artillery systems;
  • 404 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;
  • 211 (+0) air defence systems,
  • 281 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;
  • 264 (+0) helicopters;
  • 1,617 (+0) operational-tactical UAVs;
  • 592 (+0) cruise missiles;
  • 16 (+0) ships/boats;
  • 4,562 (+13) vehicles and tankers;
  • 171 (+1) special vehicles and other equipment.
