UKRAINSKA PRAVDA – WEDNESDAY, 19 OCTOBER 2022, 23:53

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has assumed that Russia introducing the so-called martial law in the occupied territories of Ukraine is a manifestation of "Chekists’ panic" - the closer Russia’s defeat is, the bigger the panic will be.

Quote: "Our common task is to persevere. Stand against these weirdoes… Russia avoided even the word "war" for six months, punished its own people with criminal cases for it, and now it declares martial law in the occupied territory.

The occupiers themselves brought the war to our land, and now they are signing some decrees cementing the war. It's just hysterics of the "Chekist comrades." Hysterics, which will be greater the closer Russia's defeat is."

Background: On 19 October 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to impose martial law in the annexed parts of the Ukrainian oblasts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk.
