Several dozen hectares worth of crops burned in a fire that broke out in the Kryvyi Rih district as a result of Russian strikes.

Source: Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Administration, during a press briefing

Quote: "The orcs [the Russian forces - ed.] struck the area around Velyka Kostromka in the Kryvyi Rih district. Several dozen hectares of fields caught on fire due to the [Russian] strike on Marianske. The fire destroyed the crops.

However, our emergency workers were able to localise and extinguish the fire to prevent it from spreading across an even greater area. Thank God, there were no casualties."

Details: Vilkul also reported that Russian forces fired salvos at the areas around the villages of Novovorontsivka, Oskorivka, Trudoliubivka, and other towns and villages.

The Russians also struck the area around Potomkine in the liberated part of Kherson Oblast.

Earlier: On the morning of 16 July, Russia deployed Grad MLRS in an attack on residential neighbourhoods in the city of Nikopol, in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, damaging 12 five-storey apartment buildings, a school, and a technical college.

As a result of the Russian strike on Nikopol, two people were killed and a woman was injured.
