UKRAINSKA PRAVDA – FRIDAY, 10 JUNE 2022, 13:57

The Russian occupiers are demolishing damaged apartment buildings in Mariupol without dismantling the rubble. The bodies of Mariupol residents, amounting 50 to 100 killed under almost every building, are being taken to solid waste landfill sites.

Source: Mariupol City Council referencing Mayor Vadym Boychenko on Telegram.

Quote: "The real number of bodies under the rubble of destroyed apartment buildings is frightening. There are between 50 and 100 bodies of residents under almost every destroyed building, and 1,300 high-rise buildings were destroyed in Mariupol."

Details: According to Boychenko, the Russian occupiers employ labourers from the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic to remove the bodies of murdered Mariupol residents together with concrete from the destroyed buildings. The Russian occupiers then dispose of them as garbage.

Bodies mixed with debris are sent to the Livoberezhnyy landfill and to the landfill facilities in the Prymorsky suburb, which was decommissioned in 2008.

Quote: "Now they (the occupiers – ed.) are not even trying to extract the bodies. They are just demolishing apartment buildings and removing rubble together with the bodies of the killed Mariupol residents. Therefore, the real numbers of those killed in the city may unfortunately be much higher than what we reported."

Recap: Ukraine’s Chief Epidemiologist Igor Kuzin has warned that the occupied Mariupol is at risk of a cholera epidemic because of mass human burials and lack of access to drinking water.
