Quote: "Today, seven armed occupiers and one woman broke into my apartment. Most likely, a correspondent of a propaganda channel. They came to ‘visit’, knowing that the owners have not been there for a long time.
In order to get to my house, they first damaged the front door and then the door of the apartment itself."
Details: Orlov added that the occupiers sealed the apartment.
"I will not be surprised if a story comes out soon that ‘Orlov kept a javelin or a grenade launcher in one of the children's rooms," the mayor said.
Background:
- Enerhodar is under occupation by Russian troops.
- At the end of March, Andrii Shevchyk, a deputy of the Enerhodar city council from the OPZZh [Opposition Platform — For Life], said that he had set up a "city self-organization council" that would allegedly perform the functions of the city government, and declared himself its head.
- In March, most City Council deputies resigned to prevent the occupiers from using them to make illegal decisions against Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
- Enerhodar City Council officials moved to Zaporizhzhia in late April.
