Details: The son of the head of Zaporizhzhia District State Administration was abducted at a Russian checkpoint in Vasylivka while an evacuation convoy was moving from Melitopol to Zaporizhzhia. This happened at 11:22 on 8 April.
Oleh Buriak added that the car had been held at the checkpoint for about three hours. Then everyone was released, except his son. Vladyslav's whereabouts are still unknown.
Quote: "Vladyslav was in the back seat of the car and was watching something on his mobile phone. Then a Russian soldier asked him if he was filming at the checkpoint. My son did not answer, and then the aggressor grabbed his phone. Then the document inspection began.
I think that when the Russian military personnel saw the surname Buriak, everything immediately became clear. They probably already had information about me and the position I hold."
Details: Oleh Buriak also said that someone called Vladyslav’s mother the other day. She was allowed to talk briefly with her son. Buriak also talked to him. Negotiations on the child’s release from captivity are currently underway, but so far to no avail.
"My son is not a soldier or a politician. I do not understand why my child is still being held", he added.
