Centre for Countering Disinformation: Invaders shell captured towns and villages to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Russian invaders are shelling captured settlements to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eyes of the local residents.

Details: This is another piece of fake news - the Russian Ministry of  Defence reported that the political and military leadership of Ukraine "is ordering the National Battalion to shoot staged videos of alleged killings of civilians and looting by the Russian military."

In addition, Russian propagandists continue to promote manipulative messages such as: "no to Russophobia, Russians should not be responsible for Putin, Russians should not suffer from sanctions."

According to the Centre for Countering Disinformation, this narrative was voiced on the air of the Italian TV channel "RAI" by Marina Ovsyannikova, who previously appeared on Russian television with an anti-war poster.
