Mariupol Mayor, Vadym Boichenko reported on the bombing of the Mariupol Drama Theatre, as well on the people who managed to pass through the open corridor.

Verbatim: "A corridor was opened despite there was no ceasefire. Our Mariupol residents were leaving the city in despair under gunshots, attacks of ‘Grad’ multiple rocket launchers, and air raids. About 6,500 cars managed to leave in the last two days."

"Such a terrifying tragedy has happened to our life today."

"Today the drama theatre was demolished by a direct strike. Our people were sheltered there, certain that they were lucky."

"We know that, unfortunately, many were unlucky today. And this is a great tragedy."

"But we shall not give up..."

Details: The mayor noted that he will continue to do everything to save as many people as possible.

He also informed that some Mariupol residents had been transported to Zaporizhya, where they will receive the necessary first aid.
