Military Prosecutor Kulyk ‘did not Appear in Court’
Military Prosecutor Kostiantyn Kulyk did not come to the hearing of Kyiv Appellation Court scheduled upon his own request, press-office of Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (SAP) reports.
Kulyk was expected to appeal the decision of Solomianskyi District Court of Kyiv that froze his assets with regard to a criminal proceeding against him. The next hearing of Appellation Court is scheduled to July 19.
On July 1, Solomianskyi District Court froze two vehicles, three apartments, a land plot, two parking slots, a non-residential building and a number of bank accounts of Kulyk while the pre-trial investigation is pending. "We don’t stop proceeding the case of Kulyk’s illegal enrichment to be heard by court," SAP Deputy Chief Maksym Hryshchuk underlined.
The pre-trial investigation identified that from 2011-2016, Kulyk had acquired various valuable assets total worth of which significantly exceeds his official income. Formally, most of these assets belong to his family members.
On July 4, Solomianskyi District Court suspended him from office until September 4 to ensure unhampered investigation.
