Online fraudsters swindled Russians out of US$1.6 billion between January and November 2024.

Details: "Cybercrime causes significant damage to the economy and citizens’ property rights," Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev added.
Over 702,000 cases of cybercrime were reported in Russia in the first 11 months of 2024, a 14.3% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The growth rate of fraud cases has slowed significantly, dropping from 44% in 2023 to 9.2% in 2024.
