Polish business does not leave Ukrainian market and continues to open new companies

Details: According to Kredobank banker Jakub Karnowski, Ukraine has the potential to be as attractive to Polish corporations as Poland was to Germans in the early 1990s.

According to the outlet, many Polish companies in Ukraine "survive and wait for better times", but do not leave the market. At the same time, since the start of the war, over 300 Polish entrepreneurs have registered businesses in Ukraine.

Quote: "Although most of them have small capital, they are a springboard for further expansion," said Jacek Piechota, co-president of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.

According to the publication, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency identified 3,022 Polish companies interested in helping in Ukrainian reconstruction following the war.

The EU Ukraine Facility initiative, with €7 billion in guarantees, has the potential to play a key role. Polish companies are awaiting the government's decision to join in this initiative, which may have an impact on their competitiveness in comparison to companies from other EU countries.
