Quote: "Nothing should be landing on Ukraine, or Latvia, or anywhere on NATO territory, but this is the new reality our inaction has allowed to emerge."
Details: He added that Lithuania would, of course, "be supporting a strong allied response".
Background:
- Following the Russian attack on Ukraine on the night of 7-8 September, Romania reported that a drone had violated its airspace and launched a search for the wreckage on its territory.
- Latvia also stated that it had found a crashed Russian military drone in the east of the country and was conducting an investigation.
