Ukraine's Human Rights Commissioner doubts possibility of all for all POW exchange
Dmytro Lubinets, Ukraine's Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, believes that a big all for all prisoners of war exchange with the Russian Federation is unlikely in the near future because Russia does not seem to be ready for it.

Quote: "Do I believe that a large exchange will occur in the near future? No. I will explain why. The discrepancy in numbers. Yes, it is there. There are many more Ukrainian citizens detained on Russian Federation territory.
Are we discussing it? Yes. Do we talk about it with our partners? Yes. Do I see any partners backing our position? Yes. Do I see the Russian Federation's readiness to do this? No."
Details: According to the human rights commissioner, the Russians "are ready to conduct exchange processes, are ready to talk about all categories of citizens of Ukraine, but they do not demonstrate readiness to conduct quick large exchanges".
Lubinets also highlighted that during the most recent civilian exchange, five Ukrainians were successfully returned to Ukraine from Belarusian territory for the first time. The official stated that there was "at least some channel of communication" with Belarus.
Quote: "For the first time, we were able to bring back five Ukrainian citizens from Belarusian territory. Three of our heroines and two men, including one suspected of blowing up an A-50 plane in Belarus. And we were able to get him back. I cannot go into details, but I can tell that at least a communication line has opened with the Belarusian side."
