Details: The incident occurred in front of the Polish police officers, the newspaper writes. The minibus driver who ran over the Ukrainians was detained and interrogated.

Quote: "Preliminary information indicates that two Ukrainian drivers were injured. One has a bruised arm, and the other has a bruised leg. They were given first aid on the spot, and they refused hospitalisation. We are in constant contact with them. Our consul went to the scene to learn more about the circumstances," Kuts said.

Radio Liberty does not specify the circumstances of the incident, but it is likely that Ukrainian drivers walked across the crossing in protest against the blocking of several checkpoints by Polish hauliers.

Background: Since 6 November, a group of Polish hauliers has been blocking the movement of goods on the border with Ukraine. Recently, Slovak hauliers have joined them.

On 11 December, Wojciech Sawa, the head of the Dorohusk municipality, decided to disperse the hauliers' protest at the border with Ukraine. However, in the evening the passage was partially blocked by a truck. According to RMF, the truck still prevents passage to the checkpoint in Dorohusk, so its capacity is reduced.

On 12 November, the State Border Service of Ukraine reported that cargo is moving through the Dorohusk-Yahodin checkpoint in both directions. In total, there are about 5,000 trucks in queues at the western border.
