The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has accelerated the supply of new weapons to the army – without waiting for admission to operation and with tests already on the battlefield, deliveries can be reduced to 20 days.

Details: The Ministry of Defence explains that the acceleration of deliveries was made possible by amendments to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No 345 from 25 February 2015, which were introduced at the Cabinet meeting on 21 November this year at the initiative of Defence Minister Rustem Umierov.
As a result of these changes, the delivery process for new weapons and military equipment is expected to be reduced to 20 days. However, this period may vary depending on the quality and completeness of the materials provided by the manufacturer.
Previously, for weapons or equipment to get to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, manufacturers overcame a procedure consisting of six stages, which could take up to several months.
From now on, one of the longest bureaucratic obstacles – the issuance of an order on admission to operation has been removed from it. Its coordination with various structures of the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff usually lasted about a month.
Quote: "The updated fast track for the supply of weapons also reduces waiting periods at other stages. In particular, testing new weapons and checking their combat characteristics will occur directly on the battlefield.
In case of successful results, no additional tests are required (as was the case, for example, with the 2S22 Bohdana wheeled self-propelled howitzer, which has proven itself well during combat missions)."
Details: Another significant change concerns the purchase of the most popular classes of drones ("micro" and "mini") for civilian or dual-use purposes, which can be converted to perform combat missions.
From now on, the state can purchase such UAVs, even if they were not allowed to be operated and were codified as a supply item.
