Details: The UK Ministry of Defence pointed out that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Olenegorskiy Gornyak had often transported military and civilian cargo from Russia to occupied Crimea after the Crimean bridge was damaged by attacks.

Quote: "The 3,600 tonne, 113 metre long Olenegorsky Gornyak represents the largest Russian naval vessel seriously damaged or destroyed since the sinking of the cruiser Moskva on 13 April 2022."

More details: The UK Ministry of Defence called the attack on the Russian ship a "serious blow" to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which had previously relocated most of its units to Novorossiysk due to the high risk of deployment in occupied Sevastopol.
