Ukraine's defenders advance 16 km on 2 fronts in a week – Deputy Defence Minister
The Ukrainian Defence Forces have advanced 12 and four kilometres on the Southern and Bakhmut fronts respectively over the past week.

Details: Maliar said the Defence Forces had liberated more than 12 sq. km on this front during the past week alone.
"Ukrainian troops continue to conduct offensive operations on several front areas towards Melitopol and Berdiansk," Maliar reported.
In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated about 35 sq. km of territory on the Bakhmut front during offensive operations and around four sq. km during the past week. "Key battles continue in the areas of Klishchiivka, Andriivka and Kurdiumivka," Maliar said.
Background: The General Staff reports that about 35 combat clashes occurred between the Ukrainian Defence Forces and the Russian occupiers on five fronts on 23 July.
