Zelenskyy spoke about the Russian Federation’s "mine terror" and recognised 4 dead policemen

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has posthumously recognised four policemen who died in mine explosions in Kherson Oblast on 7 December and said that Russia will be punished for its "mine terror" in Ukraine.

Details: Zelenskyy signed decrees on posthumously awarding state awards to police officers whose lives were cut short by Russian mines in Kherson Oblast on 7 December.

The rank of Hero of Ukraine with the order of the Golden Star was awarded to police colonel Mykhailo Kuratchenko, and the order for Courage was awarded to police captains Ihor Melnyk, Serhii Nenadi, and police corporal Vadym Perizhko. 

Quote: "They did everything for the safety of Ukrainians. Already returning after completing one of the tasks – when they seized weapons and ammunition from the cache of the invaders, many of which were left in the Kherson region, the policemen stumbled upon a mine trap.

And this is the form of Russian terror that will have to be countered for years to come. Terrorists deliberately try to leave behind as many death traps as possible. Buried landmines, tripwire mines, booby-trapped buildings, cars and infrastructure... This is more than 170,000 square kilometres of dangerous territory.

Details: Zelenskyy is sure that "mine terror" will be among the charges against Russia for its aggression.
