Occupiers force residents to switch to rubles and take passports of Russia in Melitopol district – General Staff report

Ukrainian hryvnias are gradually withdrawn from the circulation of trade networks, and forced passportization continues in the temporarily occupied Melitopol district of Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Quote: "Russian occupation authorities continue the forced passportization of the population of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. The aforementioned measures continue in the Melitopol district of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Ukrainian hryvnias are gradually withdrawn from the circulation of trade networks, and the population is forced to switch to Russian rubles.

Also, the occupiers are trying to financially encourage the local population to collaborate, providing cash assistance to pensioners in the amount of 10,000 rubles and charging a higher salary to loyal local residents who agreed to work in the institutions of the so-called occupying power."

Details: Russians launched five air strikes and conducted more than 40 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems. The threat of Russian missile attacks and UAV attacks on the energy system and critical infrastructure targets throughout Ukraine remains.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. There is no evidence that Russia is forming offensive units.

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, Russian forces fire on areas in and around Strilecha, Krasne, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, Ambarne, Dvorichanske, Fyholivka, Dvorichna and Kupiansk (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russian attacks were documented in the areas in and around Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Terny, Kolodiazi, Zarichne, Dibrova, Yakovlivka (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, the Russians are continuing their attempts to launch an offensive. They deployed tanks and artillery to attack six settlements. In particular, Verkhnokamianske, Vasiukivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Avdiivka, Opytne, Krasnohorivka and Marinka (Donetsk Oblast). The occupiers also launched an airstrike near Klishchiivka.

On the Novopavlivka front, the Russians are on the defensive and shelled Ukrainian positions with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery near settlements of Velyka Novosilka, Zolota Nyva, Pavlivka and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast). 

On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian troops attacked areas in and around Vremivka (Donetsk Oblast) and Temyrivka, Olhivske, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Lobkove, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

On the Kherson front, Russian forces fire on areas in and around Havrylivku, Dudchany, Kachkarivku, Zmiivku, Beryslav, Ivanivku, Zelenivku, Inzhenerne, Antonivku , Dniprovske and city of Kherson.

The Ukrainian Air Force delivered five strikes on clusters of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment. Units of Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck seven Russian command posts, 10 clusters of personnel, an artillery position and an ammunition storage point over the current day.
