Greek President and Defenсe Minister visit cities of Borodyanka, Bucha and Irpin

The President and Minister of Defence of Greece have visited the liberated cities of Borodyanka, Bucha and Irpin, as part of their visit to Ukraine.

President Katerina Sakellaropoulou and Defence Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos visited the liberated cities and talked with the mayors and local residents.

In Bucha, they examined the infamous site near the church where mass burials of murdered Ukrainians were found. 

After that, the officials went to Kyiv to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The top Greek officials’ visit to Ukraine was known in advance.

In mid-October, Greece began to transfer BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine.
