Quote: "In the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the criminals joined units of the Southern Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Commanders of assault units, a sniper, a machine gunner, and riflemen who took direct part in combat actions against the defence forces on the Zaporizhzhia front are among them."

Details: The criminals have been detained during the Ukrainian forces’ counteroffensive in Ukraine’s south.

Most of them were in one of the local schools where the occupiers deployed their firing positions.

Another convicted person is a tank commander who shot facilities of industrial and social infrastructure in Sievierodonetsk and Rubizhne (Luhansk Oblast).

The militant served with a tank unit of the "2nd Army Corps", a Russian-created military grouping in Donbas. Guided by Russian invaders, he participated in capturing the settlements in Ukraine’s east.

The criminal was taken captive during intense combat action near Sievierodonetsk in June 2022.

Previously: Five militants of the "DPR" and "LPR" formations [self-proclaimed and non-recognised Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic – ed.] who took part in seizing Mariupol and Sievierodonetsk faced a sentence of between 10 and 13 years in jail in early November.
