Zelenskyy: Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated 29 settlements in eastern Ukraine this week

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated 776 square kilometres and 29 towns and villages in eastern Ukraine, including six in Luhansk Oblast, over the course of this week.

Quote: "This week alone, our soldiers liberated 776 square kilometres of territory in the east of our country and 29 settlements, including six in Luhansk Oblast, from the Russian [sham] referendum.
In total, 2,434 square kilometres of our land and 96 settlements have already been liberated since the beginning of this offensive operation."
Details: Zelenskyy said that Southern Ukraine has likewise seen some "good results" this week.
"We are liberating our land and our people from the [results of the sham] referendum every day."
Background:
- At the beginning of October, the Ukrainian military liberated the city of Lyman, Donetsk Oblast. They also liberated the village of Torske near Lyman and began to attack Russian units in Kreminna.
- On 5 October, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated six settlements of Luhansk Oblast.
- On 6 October, Serhii Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, reported that Ukrainian defenders liberated the village of Grekivka in Luhansk Oblast.
