Ukrainian Air Defence shoot down 23 out of 30 Shahed drones in two days – Zelenskyy

The Russians launched 30 Iranian-made drones targeting Ukraine over the last two days. Ukrainian forces shot down 23 of them.

Quote: "Over 30 drones were launched in two days. The defenders of our sky prevented the enemy's vultures from breaking into the rear of the country and downed 23 Shaheds. 

In addition, one Kh-59 cruise missile, two Ka-52 attack helicopters along with a Su-25 attack aircraft were all converted into scrap metal as well."

Details: Zelenskyy reported that, in total, Russia has carried out 4,500 missile strikes and over 8,000 air raids targeting Ukraine during their full-scale invasion.

"But we are fighting, we will shoot down more," the President added.

Background:

The Russian army carried out a series of new attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on the night of 26–27 October, damaging critical equipment. Strict restrictions on the use of power have been introduced in Kyiv and central oblasts of Ukraine as a result.
