The Ministry of Defence of Belarus has shown that Belarusian troops are returning to their permanent bases after "strengthening" the country’s border, while Ukrainian border guards declare that the situation has not changed.

Source: The Ministry of Defence of Belarus, on Telegram; Andrii Demchenko, spokesman for State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, in a comment for Ukrainska Pravda

Quote: "Belarusian military personnel who have successfully completed the task of strengthening parts of the country’s border are returning to their permanent place of deployment. The guardsmen were met by representatives of the command of the military unit, as well as relatives and friends."

Details: The Belarusian Ministry of Defence didn’t disclose how many servicemen were returning to their bases, and how many remained near the state border.

Instead, they showed photos of military personnel being welcomed on their bases, as well as a picture of a soldier meeting with a child.

Demchenko’s comment: "There is no change in the situation at the border with the Republic of Belarus. The situation remains under control. We continue to record the same number of military units of the Republic of Belarus still on the border with our country, which change on a rotational basis. There is also no change in the nature of their actions."
