Details: The torture chamber was set up in a recreation facility not far from the Sviatohirsk Lavra [Orthodox Christian monastery — ed.].
The Russian military used it to forcibly detain local residents who supported the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
During their inspection, SSU officers and investigators found items that directly indicate signs of torture. An investigation is now underway as part of criminal proceedings regarding violations of the laws and customs of war.
SSU investigators are currently establishing the number of victims and their identities, as well as identifying the occupiers involved in the torture.
