Young woman from Crimea rips up her Russian passport at Ukrainian border

A young Crimean woman has dramatically renounced her Russian citizenship at the Ukrainian border.

Quote: "At one of the checkpoints, a young woman voluntarily turned the document with a two-headed vulture on a blood-red cover into a pile of rubbish.

She said she was only ten years old when the invaders came to the peninsula. Russian propaganda and Kremlin henchmen had been trying to convince her that she was Russian for eight years, but in vain. Upon entering territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, she stated that she is Ukrainian and wants to have the citizenship of her own country, not one imposed by the occupiers."
