Details: The restriction zone for flights of all types of civil aircraft (including UAVs) at altitudes between 0 and 19,800 metres in southern Belarus has been extended, according to NOTAMN O0547/22 from 8 July to 7 October, 2022.

The restriction does not apply to the aviation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the State Border Committee of Belarus. The territory of the restriction zone has not changed.

The ban on flights over the southern part of Belarus was introduced on 24 February, 2022 with the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Russian rockets are launched from the south of Belarus onto the territory of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the war, at least 689 warheads have been launched from the territory of Belarus at Ukrainian cities, the authors of the Belaruski Gayun project note.

Thus, the threat of missile attack on the territory of Ukraine from the airspace of Belarus remains for at least another three months, they believe.
