Kharkiv region: Russians bomb a cultural centre in Lozova: 7 wounded, including a child

A Russian rocket has hit a local community hall  in Lozova, Kharkiv Oblast, injuring seven people, including a 11-year-old child.

Details: The Department of the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv Oblast has reported that rescuers are on site putting out the fire and clearing the rubble.

The Russian occupiers struck at the building at about 3 pm. 

Video from surveillance cameras shared by eyewitnesses with the Trukha Ukraina Telegram channel show the rocket hitting the building, after which thick clouds of smoke and dust rose into the air.

Background:

  • On Friday, 20 May, air-raid sirens were sounded three times in a row throughout most of the territory of Ukraine due to the threat of Russian missiles and air strikes.
  • The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported that the Russians had prepared 16 3M-54 Kalibr cruise missiles to launch from the waters of the Black Sea.
  • During the day on 20 May, Russian troops fired a missile at the infrastructure facility of the Lubny municipal territorial community (hromada) in the Poltava region.
  • Early in the morning of 20 May, a Russian missile hit Malyn in the Zhytomyr region, damaging nearly a hundred houses. At least three people were injured.
