Details: Over the course of the previous day, the Russian troops carried out nearly 50 strikes with artillery, mortars, tanks, and MLRS. The infrastructure of Saltivka, Kholodna Hora, Oleksiyivka, and Kharkiv Tractor Plant was affected.
On 8 April, Russians troops fired heavily on Derhachi, damaging hospital buildings, clinics, and residential buildings. There are no victims.
According to Syniehubov: "The Ilium front remains contested. The Russians are trying to get around the positions of our army in Izyum and are concertedly sending their troops to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions to reinforce their military presence there. But thanks to the efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy really is suffering heavy losses of equipment and personnel in those territories.
We continue evacuation efforts in this area, in particular from Barvinkove and Lozova, as we expect a possible relocation of combat action to these towns. 15,000 people have already left Balakliia, while another 50,000 remain in the city. Around 3,000 evacuated from Barvinkove, with another 1,500 remaining there.
We continue to deliver food, hygiene products, and clothing from our regional humanitarian headquarters to distribution points in Kharkiv and to the region’s different hromadas, including those in the occupied territories."
