The evacuation has not been agreed, Kyiv asks for a special corridor to evacuate the wounded from Mariupol

Ukrainian authorities couldn’t manage to reach an agreement with the Russian military on a ceasefire for evacuation on 17 April. Ukrainian authorities are asking for humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians and wounded military personnel from Mariupol.

"As of this morning, 17 April, we have not been able to agree with the occupiers on a ceasefire along the evacuation routes. Therefore, unfortunately, we are not opening humanitarian corridors today.
