Russian troops have killed 145 children since 24 February

Prosecutors for crimes against juveniles have confirmed the deaths of 145 children in the wake of Russia’s armed aggression in Ukraine. However, these figures are not conclusive, as there is no information from the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine or from the active combat zones.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General: "145 children have been killed and 222 wounded during full-scale hostilities in Ukraine.

The greatest numbers of child casualites have been in the Kyiv - 69, Kharkiv - 49, Donetsk - 54, Chernihiv - 39, Mykolaiv - 30, Luhansk - 28, Zaporizhzhia - 22, and Kherson - 25 regions, as well as the capital, Kyiv - 16, and the cities of Sumy - 16 and Zhytomyr - 15.

Details: Bombing and shelling has damaged 790 educational institutions, 75 of which have been completely destroyed.

The Office of the Prosecutor reports that the situation is most difficult in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolayiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions, and in the city of Kyiv.

These data are not conclusive, as it is not possible to inspect the sites of shelling in areas of active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
