Ukrainian defence forces shoot down 30 of 44 Russian drones overnight

The Russians attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 44 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones on the night of 4-5 December 2024 (starting from 20:00 on 4 December). Out of all those targets, 30 UAVs were destroyed.

Quote from the Air Force: "As of 08:30, units of anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Ukrainian defence forces shot down 30 enemy UAVs in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi and Odesa oblasts."

Details: Another 12 drones disappeared from radar and one more left Ukrainian airspace and flew to Belarus.

The Russians used Iskander ballistic missiles to strike Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The missiles were launched from Russia’s Rostov Oblast. The drones were launched from the areas of the Russian cities of Oryol and Kursk.
