North Korean soldiers killed in Kursk Oblast carried forged documents – Ukraine's Special Operations Forces, photos

Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SOF) have reported that documents seized from three North Korean soldiers killed in Kursk Oblast display signs of forgery. Documents like these are likely being used by Russia to conceal the presence of North Korean military personnel.

Details: The SOF reported that the military IDs did not have all the required stamps and photographs. Patronymics were given, in the Russian style, and the stated place of birth was the Republic of Tuva, a constituent entity of the Russian Federation.

The document holders’ signatures, however, were written in Korean.

Quote: "Decrypted data revealed the true names of the dead North Koreans to be Ban Guk Jin, Lee Dae Hyuk and Cho Chul Ho. However, according to their Russian documents, their names were Kim Kang Solat Albertovich, Dongnk Jang Surovich and Belek Aganak Kap-oolovich."

Details: The SOF emphasised that this further confirms that Russia is employing any means possible to obscure its battlefield losses and the involvement of foreign troops.
