Ukraine's ambassador to US says she's been subjected to attacks from prankers

Oksana Markarova, Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States, has reported that she is being targeted by prankers pretending to be American government officials.

Quote from Markarova: "...in recent days, I have received a bunch of messages on my phone from prankers/intruders posing as American government officials and either asking for direct contacts of our government officials or for an urgent talk (of course, pretending to write from some secret phone)."

Details: Markarova added that thanks to constant contact with partners, the attackers were identified and reported to law enforcement.

The ambassador added that considering the surge in such contacts, as well as the rather good quality of execution, she decided to pay attention to the intensification of the attackers, suggesting that they could be aggressive northern neighbours.

Quote from Markarova: "...be vigilant, and check contacts from unfamiliar numbers/emails/messengers."
