UK has trained 50,000 Ukrainian troops within Operation Interflex

Operation Interflex, a training mission for Ukraine led by the UK, is underway in the UK, and 50,000 Ukrainian military personnel have already been trained.

Details: The UK Defence Ministry reported that 50,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained as part of the Interflex training mission and have improved their skills and combat readiness.

Background:
- Ukrainian military training in Europe takes place mainly within the framework of two programmes – Interflex, led by the UK, and EUMAM initiative, led by the EU.
- In July, it was reported that representatives of the Kosovo Security Force trained Ukrainian troops in the UK as part of the Interflex mission.
- In August, the UK Ministry of Defence warned that Russian spies could use UAVs to monitor UK military bases where Ukrainian soldiers are trained.
