Alexander Lukashenko, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, has said that he knows that Russian UAVs are flying into his country, but he attributes this to "inexperienced hands" and the operation of electronic warfare equipment.

Quote: "There have been several such cases [of drones entering Belarus] from both Russia and Ukraine. We shoot down a lot of them. We do not look at whether they are Russian or Ukrainian."

Details: Lukashenko said that both Russia and Ukraine are currently purchasing a huge number of UAVs. Quite often, "in inexperienced hands," and after exposure to electronic warfare, drones lose their bearings. According to Lukashenko, this is why they fly into Belarus.

He says that Belarus has begun to resolve these issues at the level of specialists without bringing them into the public domain. Allegedly, such agreements were reached with both sides.

Background: A Shahed drone, which entered the territory of Belarus on the morning of 3 October during Russia's air attack on Ukraine, exploded in Kalinkovichi, Gomel Oblast.
