Zelenskyy holds Staff meeting during visit to Sumy Oblast
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in Sumy Oblast in Ukraine’s northeast to discuss the region’s preparations for winter.

Details: Zelenskyy said the Staff meeting had focused on the protection of infrastructure and energy in Sumy Oblast with the help of air defence systems.
The President was briefed by Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Maliuk, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, and representatives of the Air Force and Command Skhid (East). The meeting was also attended by representatives of state-owned energy companies and "heads of all levels of the vertical between the Government and communities".
Quote: "We have taken decisions to support the region, and further separate meetings will be held regarding the energy sector of Sumy and our other border oblasts. Ahead of the winter, the most important thing is a resilience reserve."
More details: The president said Syrskyi had reported on the frontline situation – the Donetsk fronts, Kharkiv Oblast, the south of the country, the border, and the Kursk operation.
Zelenskyy did not provide any other details.
