US concerned about military skills Russia gains in Ukraine
US Army Lieutenant General Charles Constanza believes that the Russian army, fighting against the Ukrainian defence forces, which are trained and equipped by other countries, is honing its ability to fight the West in the future.
Source: Constanza in an interview with the Voice of America, as reported by European Pravda.
Details: The journalists asked Constanza how advanced Russian capabilities are now.
Costanza replied that it is now a matter of concern that Russia is fighting against a military trained and equipped in the West.
"So, they're modernising their force based on the lessons that they're learning, and I think that's something we should be concerned about. They're modernising their equipment. They're changing the way that they fight based on learning how to fight against Western-trained forces in Ukraine. And I think that should be a concern for all of us," he said.
Recently, General Christopher Cavoli, Commander of NATO's forces in Europe, said that regardless of the outcome of the war in Ukraine, the Russian army will be stronger than it is today.
Background:
- Bruno Kahl, Head of Germany's Foreign Intelligence Service, believes that Russia will be capable of attacking NATO territory within the next six years.
- According to Polish President Andrzej Duda, Russia may have the military capability to attack NATO as early as 2026-27.
