Russian drone attacks Kupiansk, injuring 2 civilians

The Russians struck Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast with an FPV (first-person view) drone on the morning of 9 September, resulting in injuries to two civilian men.

Quote: "Investigation materials indicate that the occupiers struck the city of Kupiansk with an FPV drone at around 08:00 on 9 September. Two men, aged 71 and 49, were injured. Medical personnel provided assistance to them."

Details: The Prosecutor’s Office has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438.1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Background: Russian forces attacked Ukraine with three Kh-59/69 missiles from the airspace over Russia’s Kursk Oblast and temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast, as well as with eight Shahed-type attack drones from Russia’s Kursk. Ukraine’s air defence has managed to down two Kh-59/69 missiles and six drones.
