Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has announced that his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha, will visit Hungary next week.

Source: Szijjártó in an interview with Hungarian news website Index, as reported by European Pravda

Details: Szijjártó said Sybiha will visit Budapest next week to discuss the two countries’ unresolved dispute over the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine.

Budapest claims that previously, Ukraine’s Hungarians could receive Hungarian-medium education at primary and secondary school level and apply to study at institutes of higher education in Hungarian, but now, from the 4th grade onwards, they no longer have this right.

Szijjártó said he hoped that a solution can be found by Ukraine’s new foreign minister.
